I'm amazed noone advocated that you build your own dozer!

Keep us informed on what you get done please, it's always helpful to get TBN price checks form other places. There was a dozer operator in my neck of the woods that charged about $50/hr, but he also spent about 30 minutes an hour on his cell phone.
Yeah around here good quality dozer work runs anywhere from $80-$100/ hour , so you are getting the same price. Just takes him twice as long to get done.

I could knock that out in a day if you were down here. That's not bad and the are small. Have a Dozer guy come in and knock everything down, top and stump the trees. Burn the piles. Keep the logs off to the side to chop for firewood. Might have to have dirt brought in depending on the grade. $800 is crazy high for a rental machine. A week rate is usually better but I wouldn't recommend it. You can get hurt quick and by hurt I mean killed. A tree can have a tremendous amount of kinetic energy stored up when bent. It gets loose and something bad is going to happen. I have a phone with a destroyed screen that was in my chest pocket that can attest to this and I'm an experienced operator.
