Repair bent auger?

My neighbor was in some tough land and bent the auger bit. Practically speaking, are these repairable? The bend is mostly above the start of the auger blades, about 1 foot below the mounting holes.

Or, does the time and /or financial outlay just make this repair too costly?

A press and patience will work much of the bend out. I bent an auger backing up with it on the ground. It's still in use.

If you don't have a press, a log splitter can be used.
