Thanks. But that is not what the PS is like on the tractor I was working on. I was told that's what the tractor was. It was repainted and no one knew where the ID plate was. So they must not of known either.Tucker, I went to messicks.com and looked up the 3500 steering. The four photos below show the system components, but no details of how it works. The first illustration is the complete system and piping. The second is the PS cylinder detail and the third and fourth are the two types of pumps/reservoirs used on that model.
From what jinman posted, it is obviously not a 3500. Do you or anybody know what Ford tractors had a belt driven PS pump? I may call him or email him and ask how it is coming along.it has a belt driven power steering pump never heard of one on a 3500
