replace a starter on a john deere 318

318 j.d. could be one of two engines.
B43G or P 218.
two completely different starters.
but the engine must be removed to replace them.

I have replaced two by removing motor mount bolts and getting it up enough on starter side to unbolt and sneak it out.ether way good luk.
