Replaced kioti cab windshield

As i posted earlier i stupidly shot a rock out of a snowblower right into my tractor windshield. What an idiot thing to do.

got into a rush and did some damage.

contacted my Kioti dealer and they told me they were 2-3 months out on window glass as their orders were stuck in port somewheres….. no one knew where.

so i purchased some 1/8” plexiglas and made a temp windshield to stay out of the snow and rain.

well, good news was a month later, my windshield and new rubber seal was in. I rented 2 suction cups (just to be safe) and a friend and i installed it in no time at all. I ended up lifting cab lid because my aftermarket LED’s were in the way, and i wanted to replace radio antenna anyways.

Glass ran $580, gasket $75 and about $65 shipping. Not as bad as i thought, but a bad day.


the sucky part was it cost $160 for a temp plexiglas window.

My 90s model cat trackhoe has laminated glass. Other manufacturers should do the same.

You got that right. I am storing the plexiglas in the carriage barn. Was expensive and a pain in the butt to make.

I didn’t realize there was anything in the bucket but a firewood round was still in there that didn’t dump out. I had the bucket above the cab and was spinning around to drive the other direction and the chunk fell out of the bucket and hit the window.

Plexyglass as thick as the actual glass window was more expensive than the glass repair window.

Thanks to covid buy up of all plexyglass at the time
