Has any one replaced the fenders on their equipment trailer. I just bought a Load Trail 18" trailer and needs work. The fenders are cracked, bent, and rusted through. I would like to put the same style back on it. 9" wide 72" long steel with the tread plate pattern. Did you order them some where or have a fab shop make them? I am trying to find them in Ohio because the freight costs more than the fenders. Surely some one makes them in Ohio. I called Moritz trailer factory near me and they would not talk to me about buying fenders from them. In rebuilding a trailer, if you are not careful you can get more in it than you could ever sell it for if for some reason you didn't like it.

Check with Tractor Supply, they sell them and you can usually get stuff shipped to their stores for free.

The Tractor Supply stores near me generally have both single and double axle fenders in stock.

I don't see any listed there like what I want. It is a equipment trailer. It is for 16" wheels, tandem. 9" wide 71" long, tread plate, they are flat on top with lip, then drop at about 22 1/2@ angle then another 22 1/2@ angle.

Yes that's what I am looking for, but the freight will kill me from Texas
Have you checked?
They are $71, vs $247 with free shipping that Aaron posted.
/edit - that's $71 plus shipping versus ebay rounded $247 shipped.

Maybe buy the steel and make your own.

I sent the company a e-mail to get a freight quote. I would rather have the steel ones on a equipment trailer. I am hoping they have a place in Ohio where I could pick them up.

I understand the need for steel. My Hudson has heavy duty diamond plate. I think they are 1/4" or thicker. I stand on them frequently when loading the trailer.

Do your current fenders come off or are they welded on ? You might consider making them removeable - very handy when loading pallets etc. on an equip. style trailer as well as when opening doors on a trailered vehicle.

My Load Trail equip. trailer has them and are pretty handy. 1 bolt front & rear and they slip up & off the small brackets welded to the frame. Have to disconnect the wiring connector for the clearance light. Would be fairly easy to weld a couple small brackets to your frame and then weld a pair of matching gussets, 1 to the frame and the other to the fender and use a bolt & nut to secure. Those fenders in steel are fairly heavy though but plenty sturdy.

Check these guys too. They are easy to work with. But they are in Houston so, shipping.

Freight will be cheaper if sent to a business, if you know someone who will let you send to them.
