Is that all you need to switch sway arms?

Re: Replacing B2400 3pt sway links w/B27/2910 link

That's all that you need. Each turnbuckle assembly is replaced by two main parts - a flat rectangular bar with holes and a hollow, rectangular cross-sectioned piece that receives the bar. The rest of those parts are mostly nuts, bolts, and washers.I installed this on my B2100 (equivalent to a B7500), and I switched it to my B2410 when I traded up. It is a far better system than the turnbuckles, and it doesn't cost much either.

I'll order the parts this week, it should be a nice evening project (like I really need another one).
Just how hard is it?

Re: Replacing B2400 3pt sway links w/B27/2910 link

Like the German chef on TV used to say - "iss zimble". There's a bolt (at least on my 7500) to loosen that allows the round shaft the swaybar attachments and lift arms mount on to slide right/left. The shaft has a dimple in it for the bolt. It's located in the rear of the tractor, centered above the drawbar...............chim

why is a static adjustment better than a variable adjustment?

Re: Replacing B2400 3pt sway links w/B27/2910 link

With a turnbuckle you can tighten up the sway bar in increments of half a turn, but it's a pain to have to untwist them and retighten them every time you want to switch implements. The system sliding bar sway bars have a series of holes in both the rectangular bar and the hollow receiving piece. The trick is that the holes are _not_ in synch. This lets you adjust the amount of sway about as accurately as with the turnbuckle system. Another mechancal advantage is that the sliding bar system is rigid, the sway bars won't sway in either direction once the length is set. This means that an implement is kept from swaying by both sway bars rather than just one.The real advantage is convenience. As soon as you pull the pin, you can adjust the sway bars as much as you like.

Re: Replacing B2400 3pt sway links w/B27/2910 link

I have the sliding sway bars on my L3710 and love them.

The other item that I have are the telescopic lower link ends.
I love those even more. I don't have any even area to park my impliments so these 2 features really help.

My other tractor doesn't have these features so comparatively it is a pain in back (or a little bit lower) to hook up impliments.
