Excellent idea. I've been lucky and haven't lost anything yet, but I think I'll change them out for cotter pins anyway. Thanks.

I've got in the ones I've ordered. Does anyone know the size of the bolts that fit through the hole in the tractor frame at the back and lift arms? I know I need some smaller than those that came with the Ford/Hew Holland set.

We are lucky enough to have a real "Nuts and Bolts store" here in town. You walk into the store and there is a counter in front of 5000 sq ft of every fastener known to man. Family owned and run since the 60's. When I go in and ask for something like a 1/2 inch bolt 3 inches long they have it in Stainless, Bronze, or Steel plus Grade 3, 5, or 8, or structure cert. Amazing place.

I figured out the nut size for the Kioti parts I listed earlier. Its is a 18mm by 1.5 pitch. I could not find a heavy duty class 10 version of these nuts but found them in medium duty zinc coated class 8 at McMaster Carr. I had to order 10 in a bag but it was under $15 shipped for those. They fit perfect. I think they should be alright. That completes the parts I need. Now just to mock it up and see if its got enough range at that stock hole placement.

Added on edit. I did find class 10's both Nyloc and Zinc at Belmetric.com and ordered two of each. Ill use those rather than the class 8's

I got a chance to fit these up today. Ive got some adjusting to do but its close. I am going to have to move the main brackets back to the original holes. I am in my last pin hole and Im going to not be able to close them together enough to put my pins in on the Bush Hog. The Tiller will work like it is. It seems a bit wider as it has Clevis type attachments. But the Pin types like the Bush hog are a bit narrower. Hard follow but I determined that as long as the lift bars can come back within about 29 inches of each other you can put the clips in. If not you cannot. But because a clevis type implement you can have the lift arms as much as 30" apart and get hooked up. So Im about one hole shy of what I need which is about the difference between the hole that I used (which fit the 18mm brackets) and the original hole that the old turnbuckle style was in (about 15mm).

The first picture shows the current hole placement which just happens to already exist in the lift bars and just happens to be 18mm. Thought this was a good sign... but in the end... just happenstance.

The second picture is the whole bracket assembly on one side. You can see that its at its maximum extension at this placement. It needs to come back more. Moving it to the original hole will regain some of it. But it might be even best to alter and lengthen that last bracket where it attaches to the ears on the axle to gain even more. Wouldn't take a lot. Maybe three or four inches.

The third picture is the measurement of how close the lift bars can close together in current configuration in last hole in the bar.

The fourth picture is the distance to center of pins on the bush hog.

The fifth picture is the center to center of the pins on the Tiller (Clevis type)

And the last picture is the bracket attachment to the tractor which I suppose could be lengthened in some way to give me even more adjustment holes back.

You definitely want to move the attachment point on the arms back to the original holes. With this type of stabilizers you want as many holes as possible inside the sleeve so you have options on which holes line up to put the pin in.

I agree...

In fact I want to explore making a longer bracket for the attachment
to the tractor to gain even a few more pin holes.
