Progress report:
Radiator ordered, should ship Friday or Monday. We know how that goes though. ;)
Got the pumps mounted to the new Yanmar, and the engine setting in the machine to see where and how everything's going to fit.

New Yanmar on the pallet.

Pump drive mounted.

Pumps mounted.

Sitting in the Fecon.

It's been raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock for the last few days, so everything's covered up.
I'm not complaining, we need the moisture.

Andy, check out where the engine oil filter is and that you can get to it easily when the engine is installed. Relocatable filter housings are available.
Cheers Tony

Thanks Tony,
It doesn't appear to be overly accessible right now, I'll see what it looks like when I get the old motor mounts cut out, and the new ones in.
I am going to try to make everything as easy to get to as possible.

I wonder if anyone makes a transmission adapter so an Allison or Eaton could be bolted up behind a Yanmar like that? I have a project in mind.

I don't know if you could find an adapter for the Yanmar or not, it has a SAE 4 flywheel housing.
I have a 1992 school bus that I bought for the Cummins 6bt in it. It has what I believe to be an Allison in it, and the Cummins is sporting a SAE 3 flywheel housing I believe. I've got a dandy little 3054T Cat I'd sell you, and it's got a SAE 3 housing too. ;)

No, not yet. I just picked up a 2 groove crank shaft pulley, and an exhaust kit for the Yanmar today. Waiting on parts is the pits. :(
I've got all of the engine mounts relocated and the engine bolted in. The radiator is here, and has been in and out of the machine 3 times for measurements, the builder forgot a couple of flanges to bolt the fan shroud too, so I've got to figure out how to add them to the radiator. I'm going to devise some kind of support for the cast iron triple gear pump that replaced the aluminum one.
Other than that it's about ready to hook up the hydraulic lines and fire her up.
I was having a problem getting rained out every day working on it in the front yard, but I bought a "garage in a box" and solved that problem. Now I say "let it rain".
I'll try to get a few pictures and update in the next day or 2.

Radiator

Not sure if Yanmars exhaust system is going to fit under the hood or not. As bad as I hate to, I may have to cut it up and redesign it.
