Tractor
1510
What I really need is a kind sole with a digital camera, a 1510 or 1510D, and a big heart.

My tractor is missing a few parts. Some of these I can probably make and some I may need pictures to install the parts if I can find them.

1. Draw bar. My tractor does not have a draw bar. It has a cobbled up plate with rings welded for chain restraints for the 3-point. I'd love to see one so I can decide if I can make something up that will work.

2. Hood hold down pins/clips? My tractor is missing both assemblies. I think that they are just bent up wire with a spring on the bottom but would love to see some for reference.

3. Compression release. I simply have a hole in the dash and the linkage on the valve cover. I think that this is a solid shaft with many bends and not a cable. Probably will have to buy this one but a photo would help me decide.

4. Radiator overflow bottle. Do the 1510's have one? Mine does not.

5. Crank case breather. I think this is simply a piece of hose that connects to the valve cover and runs through a bracket on the fire wall. Just want to see what it should really look like.

That's it for now. I appreciate any help that you can provide.

I don't have a YM1510 or YM1510D, but I do have a parts manual. Have some patience and I'll try to get you jpg's of the appropriate pages from the manual.

Here's the first - you can see that the lower link arm pins just thread into the rear tranny case. They are part 10, with a jam nut part 11 in the picture. I don't have anything on the rest - but I believe that the drawbar is the same as on my YM1110D's. It is simply a piece of heavy U channel bolted under the rear tranny case between the places where those pins are with the open side down. You should have at least three threaded holes under there to use to fasten it. Then there is a small diameter tube which runs across and through it lined up to be on the same axis as those lower link pins. I think the idea is to put a bolt through the drawbar to attach the sway chains to.

I'll try to get a photo of one of mine tonight. I don't currently have a 3pt on mine, but you'll get an idea of the arrangement.

Greg,

I would definitely appreciate the photos. Mine does have three bolts up into the bottom of the case. Currently there is a make shift bracket there. Simply a boxed in piece of 1/4" stock with some rings made to hold the chains.

Thanks,
Dave

We just bought a 1510D.
It did not come with an overflow bottle installed - the dealer handed me one. It souldn't be to hard to fit.

Here's two shots of the tractor - the back at the PTO and the Decompress lever at the dashboard and on the engine. Hope they help.

The pictures didn't appear. Why?
Trying again:

Ok, that works.
That was the Decompression lever.
Next the PTO coupling.

Drawbar mount photo: over in the thread titled 'building a frontend loader for a YM2000' I just posted a photo that might help you build a drawbar mount. See my third photo in that thread.

That photo was to show the loader subframe welded to the drawbar mount, so ignore the extra stuff.

California,

Thanks for the photo of the draw bar. Your's is a little
different design than the 1510 but it gives me an idea
on how to make one.

Thanks

Chuck,

Thanks for the photos. Nice tractor. I wish I bought a D. That's my only complaint about my tractor is the lack of 4wd. I've had mine for about 3 years now. The only problems that I have had were with things that were assembled wrong when it was re-conditioned.

I see that you have a clear fuel return line. Make sure that it is compatible with fuel. All of my lines were air lines which were not compatible with fuel or the pressure. I just finished replacing all of them. They had deteriorated badly in just a few years.

Unfortunates it looks like you don't have a draw bar either. I have a few people looking for a used one for me. If I can't find one I'll try to make something up that will work.

I couldn't trouble you for a close up of the hood hold downs could I? I'm missing these too. I'm sure I can bend up some rod that will work but I'm curious about the spring arrangement on the bottom.

Thanks for all the help.

Dave

Here's a photo of the drawbar on my 1110D. I think this is something like what the original for the YM1510 should be.
