rerouting my exhaust

   / rerouting my exhaust #11
Will adding length to the exhaust have any effect on the performance of the machine? I would not expect better but I would be concerned about a loss of power, do not know why but then I could write a book about things I do not understand. LMTC, feel free to chime in here, I respect your knowledge and experience with these machines.

I do not believe that it will effect it enough for you to notice. especially if it stays straight and you do not down size the pipe diameter. it might make it a little quieter.

Just my observations from working with cars.

Mike ,therein lies the problem, I have a stock muffler that I would like to turn foward like what california has done but it would take two 90's to get it headed toward the rear of the tractor. I would likely stop just before the loader brace an turn it out. Not that I have ever needed the ground clearance but going under the brace is lower than I am comfortable with. I think the pipe is 1.5" and that would be easy to maintain.
