Isn't it strange our money system is metric but theirs is not:confused2:

Well, it is a lot of "theirs" money systems...euro is metric like the Dollar......Swedish Kronor is metric like the dollar....etc.....British pound is not metric though....
I can deal with the std system....I know how to do both metric and std.....so I do not have a problem with it.....but I think it can have some negative impact for the US "future" to stay out of the metric system....I do know that all US exporting industries use metric for export products....but they do it because it is a business condition from export customer....

btw...there is a great unit converter in the Windows 7 calculator

Finally got a chance to catch up in this thread. You have my interest as I eventually want to add rear remotes to my tractor and as you know, Per, I need to figure out what's up with my loader. Personally, I think most of it is from wear in the valves. Thanks for including the CC systems.

Wow. I think the only word I understood was valves. Guess I need to go back to school. :-D

Metric is a system with NO conversion factors in formulas....like "1714" in the power formula...
BTW....what part didn't you understand/was confusing.....:confused2:....tried to simplify but instead I confused??:(

I was trying to read to deep in to it. (I can confuse my self)
I am one of them stubborn American, like what I am used to type people! It is like me trying to learn a second language, probably will not have any desire too. (would forget what I learned the next day:eek:) In water treatment we do use mg/l measurements and that does not bother me for it is nothing different then 1 part per million. When it comes to temperature, I like it in fahrenheit instead of celcius. It is kind of like getting your steak grilled just the way you like it.:licking: I have so many sheets of conversion formulas so I do not have to store it in my marble, for it would just give me a headache.
I remember way back in 3rd grade (that has been a couple of days:mad:) we learned about metric systems and how we were going to change with in a few years. So far, the only thing that mostly changed is what you wrench on.

Yeah, now you need both sets of wrenches because half of the bolts/nuts are of each type.
