I’ve been wearing mask while mowing for a few years. Can’t handle the dust and pollen

Is it common for people there to wear a mask when working outdoors?
Yeah, it is right now with southern California being a covid-19 hotbed. Also the compactor was kicking up a lot of dust before we started misting it.

Waiting for the ground to dry has made way for the fence posts.

Used quickcrete quick set and the "dump it in and dump water on it" installation method.

We never frost here so we can cement all of the posts and not worry about movement.

When I was 14 I installed a fence at our house in NY and even with just a little concrete in the corner posts, the posts came up about 3 inches in one winter.

I like to "set" posts with the crushed rock you have there. It's amazing how tight the posts get and any movement of the post just sets them tighter as the rock settles in around the post. The best is they don't rot off as quick as the water can always drain away. If you make a mistake and the post is in the wrong place you just lift the post out, scoop the rock out and start over.

I was also curious about people wearing flip flops around gravel work, not to mention around equipment.

That is quite a stack of material.

You're lucky that you can use 4x4's for posts there. Where I'm at, even 4x6's will twist and bend after a few months. Most of the nicer fences in my area are built out of 6x6's or galvanized pipe. I've also never seen posts that shade of brown. I don't even know what that is!!!!
