Well, I'll agree with the others that said the title if your post is pretty combative if you actually "came on to see if anyone had a simular issue with this brand tractor".

Perhaps next time something like "lights won't work on Kioti dash, any ideas?" Wouldn't catch you so much flack. I'm glad you were able to find the problem.

The reason this post is nine pages is because you posted a title that instantly put everyone here in defense mode. Then you made some long rambling and off topic, rushed posts with incomplete information for what was a really minor issue.

If you had posted a title like "dash lights don't work," and then stated that the dash lights weren't working on the Kioti, and what you had done, things would have been different. We could have told you instantly it wasn't the cruise module, as everything else worked, and since the dash worked, it had to be wiring. Me and several others had to dig through a ton of c**p and BS to get to that point, at which point the answer was obvious. Most problems like this have two pages of targeted info, resulting in solving the problem. By making this a brand issue, you escalated the issue.

Now the wiring. Things happen. It could have easily happened at the dealer as at the factory. It could have been something you ran over once. I think it is only fair to conclude that the OP over reacted to a really small problem, the result being 9 pages of flamethrowing. We almost went down the Kubota vs Kioti path, that could have been really nasty.

In the end though, I am glad the OP solved the issue. And yes, Kioti customer service could be better, but so could JD's (or Kubota, etc.)

...after 4 hours this weekend chasing wire after wire i found a wire that somehow was "pinched" when the unite was assembled at Kioti and had became worse when it was running...again a Kioti issue..must have been built on friday who knows. i don't care what brand you have if it's green orange pink or purple advise should be available to anyone for anything in my business i'm available 24/7 for my customers and it pays off everyday for me

So Ricky: Did you fix the wire and (if so) did that fix your problem?

17hrs in 4 years, modules tested good in other units. Screams out to me as critter chewed wiring. Heck, I leave anything parked for more than a week and it seems like I have to shake the critters out of it. Maybe I just need some cats. ....

Funny you say that - I park mine in my outbuilding, where my three rodent-control cats reside at night. They argue over which one sleeps in the seat.

1.) I agree with you that Kioti Corporate should have been more responsive - even if the response was "We have no idea".
2.) They had no idea. Hard to diagnose electrical issues remotely.

The dealer needs to get involved before asking corporate.

3: It is not the responsibility of Kioti corporate to fix tractors. That is the Dealers job. Or the owner or his designated mechanic of choice.
How many chevy's fords and chryslers have been repaired or had advice on how to repair by the corporate office?

"oh hey, I have a miss in my old chevy, I guess I will call GM for some advice on how to diagnose and troubleshoot that" I am willing to bet a call to GM would meet with a lot of response. AT BEST, the telephone number and address of your nearest dealer MIGHT be given. AT BEST.

So we STILL don't know if the problem is solved; but we do know that Kioti customer service should have provided the answer that a pinched wire was likely the cause of this debacle!:confused2::shocked:
And the range indicator lights are as crucial as the dash lights on a car/truck- I thing not even close. JMHO.
Numerous times we said the wiring was the problem, again and again... So BTW, did your dealer. There's Kioti service- telling you what the problem was- even though you took it upon yourself to self diagnose the issue with pulling and swapping parts out- YOUR choice to do so. But again, you were looking for someone to pin this on. It didn't stick to your dealer, it won't stick to Kioti HQ either. Others jumped in the shark pool to blame me for 'poor you and your frustration' (please) with this, again, MINOR issue. Your range selector STILL indicates what range you're in - try looking at it, that's why it's there; as it was on earlier models that didn't even include a light on the dash. No one died from lack of range selector lights.
And, for the record; it's NOT Kioti Corporate HQ's job to solve issues like this: It is the DEALER's, new or used, bought one or several, makes no difference.
Don't know, or care particularly, what job the OP does - 24/7 customer support for things like this issue are just NOT part of any tractor brand sales or service, period.
Next time you're seeking help ask for it. The way this thread has run, based on the OP's attitude from the title to keeping the participants in the dark from day one, it's no surprise he didn't hear back from Kioti HQ. They've got real issues to deal with, daily. They're going to pick and chose what it worthy of their time. That's life, then you die.:confused3:

am i upset with the brand NO do i wish they had better support YES do i want something for free or them to fix it free NO and after 4 hours this weekend chasing wire after wire i found a wire that somehow was "pinched" when the unite was assembled at Kioti and had became worse when it was running...again a Kioti issue..must have been built on friday who knows. i don't care what brand you have if it's green orange pink or purple advise should be available to anyone for anything in my business i'm available 24/7 for my customers and it pays off everyday for me
I still don't get what you were expecting here.
The dealer never saw the tractor, he gave you advice based on the information he had that the problem sounds like the wiring.
The problem ended up being in the wiring just like he said.
What more were they supposed to do for you if the dealer doesn't have the tractor?
