This is why I’m conflicted on getting a grapple instead of using my forks. Grapple is way easier to grab and carry when load is wide and unbalanced, but this shows it’s so easy to grab an unbalanced load and put a twist on the FEL, especially if you then clip some other object with the end of the log. Luckily it wasn’t an immovable object and it skipped past. With the forks, the log would just roll off, but dang, it sure looks like you were a foot or two from twisting something.

It is extremely harsh conditions and I have had to drop my loads MANY times. There was soooooooooooo many obstacles in that area and I chose my paths to the FEMA pile or wood piles depending on how wide my load was or upcoming obstacles.

I had to do a LOT of weaving between trees, stumps, rootballs, gates and other obstacles. It was insane. But I managed and no twisting. I have a very serious love for my grapple. Very dangerous work no matter what implement you use tho.

We traded my B2601 for a cab B2650 a few weeks ago. Already had to do the 50 hour service........ I have worked it HARD. Hurricane Michael cleanup is wild. I LOVE my B2650! Take a ride with me while I do cleanup..... we will also watch PSDStu as he digs up rootballs etc.. with his Kubota M7060

Wow, there’s so much going on around 2:14. There’s a chainsaw right in the path that could get run over, a stump getting ripped out, and is the driver missing a shoe?

Funny, how you can set down a chainsaw or gas can some random place on a 10 acre lot and it will ALWAYS be in the wrong place about to get run over.

I have transported whole trees (25 to 30 foot long)with my little grapple yes, I have accidentally hit other trees. I haven't twisted anything yet. I guess it is possible, but In all the things I have done with it, and I can't find any damage to it or the loader. Like the videos show, even a smaller tractor equipped with a grapple, with the operator sitting in climate controlled comfort can be very useful for cleaning up things.
