What's wrong with DIY and RV Anti-Freeze? Non-Toxic, and available at Wal-mart.

Not as heavy as RimGuard, no freezing and no rust like water, and not bad if you drink it on accident. Seems like it would be a good in between water and rimguard

It works but is more $$ than WWF or methanol mix. Otherwise the same weight and ease of installation.

If you intend to drink it I would agree unless you confuse RV antifreeze with ethylene glycol antifreeze. Otherwise it really doesn't matter if ten or twenty gallons of any of the non CaCl types are spilled on the ground.

As an owner of Rim Guard Inc. I thought I should weigh in on the unfortunate and erroneous statement that Rim Guard contains calcium chloride. The web page referenced by Johnny B at Ballastar.com was left over from when they were a distributor for Rim Guard prior to 2005, they subsequently developed a calcium chloride produce known as Citrustar but failed to remove this page from the internet and substitued the Citrustar MSDS for the Rim Guard MSDS. I just discovered this today and have asked the owners of Ballastar to remove this page from the internet as it is misleading and a trademark infringement.

Great product, many people seem to be satisfied with it, and like the assurance of a safe, natural ballast in their tire should they spring a leak. That said, I have to say it's a bit frustrating trying to dig up a retailer for your products. I will try to call today because I have a half day off work, but if you could invest in a 'dealer locator' or similar for your website, it might pay dividends. Even a simple list would work.

The phone number on the website.....a free call I might add....... will put you in touch with a "live" person, who will in turn direct you to the 3 nearest locations.
If you desire more locations, they will gladly give you numbers and addresses, as well as inform you that you need to replace the 'rubber valve stems', with metal ones.
I personally loved the service.
