Hello,
SWL stands for 'safe working load' which is what can be legally lifted with the bucket, I ordered a bx2360 complete with centre mount mower and loader under the assumption all would be genuine Kubota and able to handle the advertised lifting weight however the unit arrived with a loader fromTitan/ Burder who supply after market loaders for amongst others re- manufactured Kubotas and Yanmar and are warranted for twelve months. The model is 2400 SL which according to their website is for the 15-20 horsepower range of tractors and is rated at 120kg max SWL. I have now been told by the dealer that it is the Kubota that is the problem because it is rated only for such loads. Beats me! I have further said that if they could raise the loader rating I would be happy to keep the machine but no go. The dealer has now offered to take the machine back and refund my money, so hopefully a happy ending after easter regards

RE: Zonta223

Thanks for the dealer info but he cannot supply a subcompact with HST

RE: Triple R

That's a great looking dirt mover your on......All is now settled bar the refund and unbelievably a dealer from Sydney(2500klms south) has offered me a new Shibaura sx24 with self levelling 4-1 front rated at 330kg SWL with a 60"
mid mount HST 24HP unit delivered for $25000. Over easter we will go 325klm north to try one out but they are a respected machine and it is exactly what I am after so all is good again, regards

RE Kebo
I am very suspicious that there is something amiss with the front loading on those sub-compact Kubotas as the dealer also informed me that the load restriction has been placed by OHS ( Occupational Health and Saftey) which is our workplace equivelent to American aviation's NTSB. So perhaps there has been some incidents involving raised or overweight toppling over the nose or perhaps failure of some frontend component,it would possibly explain the fitting of an undersized loader assy and a whopping great counterweight out back, but maybe also I am being fed another phurphy, I honestly do not know but Kubota have an excellent rep which was earned through trouble free operational longivity and my reason for the attempted purchase. Out of curiosity I will ask around...regards

Thanks, we really like it. Glad to hear you got it straightened out and are getting a good tractor. Shibaura has a good reputation and made some models for Case and New Holland for sale here.

RE: MIKE467
Thanks

I fear someone is giving you some bad information on the Kubota SCUTs. We are on our second, a BX2660 with OEM loaders and I use all of our equipment very hard.

Our original BX, a 2003 BX2200 is still in use by our son in law and he hauls heavy loads and operates on some really steep terrain.

Kind of a moot point now though.

Be sure to post some pictures of your new tractor upon arrival.

Just below where you type your reply, there will be Additional Options, in the center of the page, about half way down you will see a box Manage Attachment", click on that and you will get a popup box. Select Browse then attach the picture and hit upload.

Dang, and the loader they put on has a self-leveling bucket. Too bad it's so wimpy. Good luck!
