The software updates for my phone are free. I don’t like them anyway.

1/4 ton capacity Burro. We're charging $10K plus $500 for shipping anywhere in US48 and $500/year subscription for software updates and unlimited modem.

Looking more the part?

to answer your question, yes!
And the cost creep doesn't surprise me.

think you need a lot more safety guarding unless you place this in a highly guarded environment.
Tires look good for hauling a 500 pound load. Optional "stake" kits?
How to prevent tipovers? Warning buzzer/light if angle of inclination exceeds some set percentage?

In our case, $500 covers modem (we are setting up a portal so you can see where your robots are, and what they see in realtime) as well as software updates (more autonomy). If you don't want that, no problem.

With this 500/year fee, we can capture training data, to count anything (i.e., there are 1102 ragweed plants in this row, and here's exactly where they are), and eventually it will enable us to spot spray, mow, grasp, pick, prune, weed, collect, etc..

I think robots will be handy and make farming more productive/profitable. Don't agree with the Silent Running Ending.
