Older country boy in Alabama. I just had an auger get stuck and cannot get it out of the ground. Any suggestions?

I have done this one time and I learned my lesson well. I borrowed a big pipe wrench and spun it backwards out of the hole. If you have trouble doing this put some water on it and let it soak a bit, then try it again. The only other option is to dig it out.
