Super nice setup... 420 or 430 Cat? I can't get scale in photos very well. Sometimes can't get scale in person. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I described it in SAFETY under the heading "Chaps". Not a pleasant experience but a valuable lesson.

Sweet... I'm yellow with envy...
Any thoughts or improvements compared to other machines?

Few I've talked with have run the Cat machines as they are a newcomer to the area and my circle of contacts is small.
Seem a little more robust than some.

Re: Ron\'s Project

Looks good so far!

I don't think I missed it...what are you building there?

I assume a house, barn or pretty fancy hunting camp?

Hope it's not too far from your home to the project site! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sometime in the near future I intend to do a review of the machines from the perspective of having previously owned a compact tractor with loader and Woods 750 backhoe attachment. The general gist is that for the bigger jobs you need a bigger machine. The bigger machines, however, become awkward in the fine detail. The Cat machines are well thought out machines with attention to details that increase productivity.

Henro

Building a home. It will be a vacation home until I retire to it. I am , however, starting with a barn/workshop. Once the barn is up, the electricity from the pole in the picture will be fed underground to it.
