Well, looks pretty nice. I have a question tho-- I expanded your pic, and the outside weld of the L bracket to the tubular bar only has about 5 welds, what appears to be one inch long, some inches or whatever apart. Is this OK?

In a forested region, with unforeseen rocks on a hill, I don't know if I'd use that ROPS. JIMO...

....I think you'll find that evenly spaced welds (or stitch welding) is an industry standard. It is done to permanently join the metal without overheating. Continuous welds often produce distortion and molecular weakness on thinner, stronger alloys.

Lawrence, thanks. I think i'm on my own to find out if the 1510D and my 186D share a rearend casting. I know alot is interchangeable between the two, including FEL mounts. One would think it would be easy enough to figure out by checking part numbers on the rearend, PTO area, etc. I sure would like to get a ROPS on my tractor !

Just an update for any of you considering a ROPS. Due to various picky and seemingly arbitrary charges by UPS, the average cost of shipping these UPS has risen to app. $200 to the lower 48. That's about, oh......a 300% shipping increase. As a result, it seems our most effective option at this point is to drop ship them motor freight. This will still likely mean an increase, but nowhere near the increase UPS would be if we continued with them. We will use R&L as our primary carrier. Basic freight is to a terminal..for $30 in most areas they will do a residential delivery, calling and scheduling either morning or afternoon (assuming you give us daytime phone numbers). My best guess is that shipping to MOST of the lower 48 will be around $60-$100 to a terminal...some locations a little less, some more. Sorry, this is our best option currently. They will com ewith all pieces including the hardware package banded to a wooden pallet. Approximate shipping weights are up on our website, along with current pricing (NOT including shipping).
