In a forested region, with unforeseen rocks on a hill, I don't know if I'd use that ROPS. JIMO...
....I think you'll find that evenly spaced welds (or stitch welding) is an industry standard. It is done to permanently join the metal without overheating. Continuous welds often produce distortion and molecular weakness on thinner, stronger alloys.
