ROPS for 2210D

   / ROPS for 2210D #21
I see that you've had many different replies. Good luck on building one. I got luckey at a flea market and saw a roll-over bar. It looked like it was for a Kubota. It was orange anyway. I bought it for $15.00 and brought it home to my welder and we had a party. I made a box at the bottom of the ROP and cut a hole for the PTO and drilled four hole for the bolts around the PTO. Attached is my results. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

There is a place up the road from me called Wengers of Myerstown Wengers. Part of their operation is dismantling farm equipment. They have a rack of rops out in the yard. You won't find any $15 rops out there but they have quite a collection. Might be a good place to get a rops project started if you are in the south central PA area.

JMF,
Nice job on your ROPS. So, the box around the PTO bolts to the frame? It must have some flanges on it. any chance of a close up near the PTO? thanks, bw

Vongiese:

Took the trusty tape out and this is what I came up with. Now while I was out there I looked at the tag on it and it had this info on it maybe there still in business and it looked as if Yanmar had them make ROPS for there American sales tractors, worth a try anyway

When I got it there was a box around the bottom of ROPS and I added a piece of flat 1/4 plate to make a back. Then drill 4 hole to match the bolts on the PTO housing and used cutting torch to cut out for PTO shaft. There is no other support other than the 4 bolts. I belive they are about 1/2. But there is one safety feature, its surrounds the PTO staft. So if the bolts broke, you would have to break the PTO shaft before it came off. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
