Kubota B3200
Put up a thread a few days ago and got some great ideas and help with lights, switches, etc. for my B3200

Now I'm tyring to figure the best way to mount them onto the rops.

My plan is to get two square u bolts (amazon has them for $10.00/pair) and cut some strap steel to size, drill the holes to fit and attach it to the top of the rops (bottom side to avoid getting torn off).

If anyone has any additional ideas or more importantly, pictures to show your work, I would greatly appreciate seeing it.

Thanks!!

Very nice.

Do the brackets come as a set (ie- top & bottom or did you fabricate the bottom/flat part of the bracket)

The way I mount the lights may not be for everyone, but it works for me. The switches and wiring turned out nice. Philip.

I used the squared off U-bolts for my ROPS light brackets. For a snug fit and no scratches to the ROPS, I pushed a length of clear vinyl tubing over the entire length of the u-bolt. A little WD-40 inside the tubing made it easier to slide over all three sections of the bolt.

I just finished creating these, partially inspired by the stake bracket design. I decided I could make it even simpler by just using 3" hose clamps.

Simple is good. How did you cut the slots for the hose clamps?

How did you cut the slots for the hose clamps?

Originally the slots were hand cut with a Dremel tool, which is easy but looks rather hand-made. So I went overkill and chucked them into a little CNC mill and milled them to look nice. Really could have done the entire part in the mill, but it's small and takes forever when working with steel.

Although I've been wondering if steel itself is overkill for these light brackets, and if aluminum would be sufficient.

Nice looking LED lights. Where and how much? What are the Lumens?

$70 from eBay:
18W 1530 lum High Power LED WORK LIGHT

I've only bench-tested them so far, although I believe I saw a post where somebody else had them installed and working. When I bought them I was shopping by comparing lumens per watt per dollar, and they came out pretty good.

These look identical to the LED lights I purchased from autolumination.com. These are EXCELLENT lights....very rugged and extremely bright! I compared these 18W round LEDs to a Peterson 55W 4" Round incandescent light and the difference was very dramatic!

Princeton, look up kubota part 3a011-75904 - its a L series work light no led but real bright and it fits the rops perfectly just a little pricey

Before I installed my sunshade a few years ago , I welded a piece of 2'' flat bar inside the ROPS bar , with 2''s of clearance , Predrilled holes for lights , before welding inplace. Sorry no pics. Steven.

I used a hose clamp to attach my LED work light to my ROP. I rapped a piece of velcro around the roll bar first before putting on the clamp. I used the soft side of the velcro so the clamp had something to get traction on. Also if I hit a low hanging tree the light has a chance to spin instead of getting broken.
