Yanmar 2210D, Sany SY35 Excavator, Kubota 4060LE,
I'm considering building (having someone with real welding skills build it) a ROPS for my 2210D. What would be nice is to use an existing ROPS as a pattern. In the unlikely event that anyone near me has a compatible ROPS -- Does anyone have good pictures or diagrams of ROPS for their tractor that they would be willing to post? Obviously the tricky part is how to mount the ROPS to the tractor, so details of that area are important.
Thanks in advance!

Mike,
I don't have one on mine, but I've seen a few that mounted at the axles

Are you willing to give up the fenders for a ROPS? That makes it much easier.

Does your tractor have unused mounting holes on the rear sides of the transmission case? Maybe three holes in the shape of a flattened triangle. There were some real nice photos of a home made ROPS over at the old club at Yahoo. Maybe the pictures can be found in the new group. I seem to remember that he moved the fenders out with spacers and mounter to the rear axle. I have seen kubota ROPS that mount to the back of the transmission case. Lots of bolts there.

I found some ROPS pictures over at Yahoo. They are in the Yanmar Tractors 15 to 19 hp folder. The pictures are of a 1500D the authors name has been lost in the transition.

Could possible salvage the fenders and add them to the rops in some way.

Here is a pic of ROPS that someone made. Seems to be mounted at the rear of the differential.

Pennwalk,

Where exactly is that folder for 15 to 19 hp Yanmars and how do I get to that folder in the Club at Yahoo? ( I am registered there but can not find where that folder is located)

I am in the process of creating a custom Roll Bar (ROPS) for my F16. All of the posts are exactly correct. It can attach to those 3 holes on the sides of the PTO housing and you may need to move the fenders out a little. I will post all info when completed.

The reason I asked about the fenders was that many of the US Yanmars had factory ROPS, so we know how Yanmar went about it. The fenders were removed and then a thick pair of plates bolted to the top and botton of the axle in the fender monting location. These plates also bolted to each other and in doing so they firmly sandwiched the cast axle housing The ROPS and the fenders were then attached to the tops of those plates.
