My advice is to actually get both.

I have a PTO tiller that I use to till the orchards with. I also have irrigation lines buried from 20 to 30" deep. You can see how it looks here: Branson F36Rn + Joper JF-OR-15 - YouTube

But I do have a small greenhouse where I have to use the stand alone tiller inside and outside since it's a hard spot to get with the tractor.

While I try to do most with the tractor, I still have to use the stand alone every once in a while. Both will come in handy for sure.

we use our neighbors rear tine. works great. last season, i returned it and fixed the gear shift lever that had been broken for years. clean and full of fuel.
