I'm with Brent. As good as the 6x4 lift is the HPX lift is even greater. It has dual arms and I had the front wheels off the ground this last weekend and the dump still lifted it up. Not saying the RTV won't as I don't have one but the Gator lifts are certainly more than capable.

You can definitely overload the bed of the Gator and the RTV. I've had both overloaded to the point where they wouldn't dump with the heavy wet clay soil I have. Although it is not possible for me to tell the weight with any accuracy, it seemed about the same for each. The bed on the RTV will hold more than the Gator, but it is a moot issue when I can overload each. There is simply more room to really overload the RTV. If I had to guess, I'd have to say that the Gator will dump more, but the RTV will haul more based upon actual experience. The 6X4 Gators are really beasts, but it is relatively easy to load one to the point where it will not steer. They have to be pretty tough when the military throws them out of C130 cargo planes for our troops! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I priced RTV's, to much money for what i needed. I went with a Big Tex 10k dump trailer. Best money ever spent. go to the dump push the button, and in and out in five minutes. No sweat [they envy you when you get out of the truck pull the pins push the button and it all falls out especially if it is tree branches or vines] get rock from work. l then bought a Bristers Chuck Wagon. You can find my post on that. beets the heck out of the pro hauler [starts and runs from the hit of the switch unlike the Pro Hauler. Runs on the starter for the first 5min] 9K total.... Along with the 3130, life is Good on the farm. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Good Luck!!

When you talk about weight for the RTV I can carry 15 bags of salt in the box. The weight of 15 bags is 1320lbs.It will dump this with ease. As far as driving with this weight you can do It but you notice the wieght on turns and hills. I also looked at different UV. I leased My RTV and use It as a commercial plow tractor, It has a Farm Tractor plate on it so it is street legal and It is 100 % tax right off for my business. I have an awesome 4 wheeler for play time when all the work is done.

What state are you in? How did you register it? I'm not sure that I can get a farm plate in my state for any vehicle that is not street legal. But that sure is an interesting concept. I'd like to check it out to see if it can be done in Indiana.

Bob, have you checked out Polaris Ranger? I've had two and love them. They have much higher load capacities then the Yamaha. I moved 8 tons of gravel with mine one evening this summer. I put two buckets of #2 crusher run (my B2410 50" bucket) in the bed each run. It had to be a good 1,500 lbs each run. Tires were lower than normal, but it hauled it fine (down a fairly steep hill) and the power dump didn't even blink.

Fun factor is big, particularly with the Professional series with lower gearing (more low end torque).

Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.

Hello all,

Guys I'm here to tell you that the mini trucks are the way to go. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Of course that's because those are what I'm selling. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I have received some very positive messages and am hoping that I can make some people here happy with one of these babies. I've included another pics of the trucks for your comparisions. Also I have received conflicting info on the dumping capacities of the mini's. One supplier said 1 ton another said 1 thousand. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Even worse is that I bought a bunch and was told from dealer that it's anywhere from 500kg to 700kg. (1100 pounds-1550 pounds) . Honestly I will not be sure until I get one in my yard and check myself. I too have a RTV900 and am pleased with it but am planning on keeping a mini truck for myself because- cab, extra sized bed, weight carrying capacity (???). I believe everyone has stated some great points on all these types of machines and it will be a tough choice. BUT JUST BUY MY MINI TRUCK. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Have a great one.

Darin, keep me on your list. We've traded some real emails so you know I am not 100% sure what I want to do, but obviously I'm still inclinded to think the mini-truck is a very viable candidate.

The only real problem is the color. I have a Kubota and a New Holland. If you could figure out a way to paint 1/2 of it orange and the other 1/2 blue then I'd probalby have to buy it.

Darin - keep me on your list also.

Bob - I can see it now... A mini version of the Partridge family bus. Paint it in all the colors of your NH, Kubota, Ventrac, Cub and maybe a splash of color to match each of your cars and trucks...

Brian, I have 7 cars: 3 are silver (actually 2 of those are convertibles and one has a blue top the other has a black top), 2 are white, 1 is black & silver, and one is PURPLE. Don't ask how that got thrown in the mix! Oh, and we have scooters too (1 yellow the other is metalic blue)

All I can say is we paint the mini-truck to match all my toys then that is going to be one butt ugly mini-truck!
