Dozernut was helpful to me before I installed mine (others were helpful, too) . He was nice enough to e-mail me a few pictures of his installation as well as the Kubota/Warn winch installation manual (good for finding the power lead and routing the cables).

I tested the winch yesterday by pulling the unloaded RTV up a slight incline. It seemed to work great! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Fairlead mount hasn't arrived yet.
Can I mount the winch now and put the fairlead mount (and fairlead) on later or do I need to wait for the mount?

Go ahead and mount the winch. The fair lead bracket simply bolts to the bumper/brush guard. You just remove the hook and thread the cable through the rollers.

Hate to admit my ignorance, but I would like to put the Ramsey winch on the new RTV 900. What parts do I need, how does it mount, does anybody have any pictures?

Still think the wireless is the way to go, but... anyone thought of a good place to store the wireless remote? One thing I think Kubota could have done better is the storage department. Everywhere I think to put the thing I then think about how it is going to get bounced around. Any good ideas?

If you are talking about the wireless remote transmitter itself, it is made to hook to your key ring. I've found it very useful there. I can just unclip it when I need it and I always know where it is.

The only additional hardware needed is a bracket for the fairlead. You can get just the Fairlead Bracket from Kubota. It is part number K7561-91430. TractorSmart lists this on their site for $31.30. I assume this bracket would work with the Ramsey Fairlead. I built a bracket with materials I already had.

Mounted my Ramsey winch the other day. No problems with wiring or otherwise. Most time consuming was figuring the best placement for all the wiring and stuff.

I got the fairlead bracket from TractorSmart, but it didn't come with the mounting bolts. Should it have or was I supposed to order separately? Winch is now mounted, fairleads are not.

I called TractorSmart back. Sure enough, the bolts to mount are a separate item. He didn't have in stock and would have to order himself.
Question - It appears they're 12mm X 25mm. Does anyone know the pitch? I went to the hardware store but all he had was 1.50 pitch. Looking at the holes in the grill guard, they look more like 1.00 or 1.25. Can anyone advise?
The Kubota kit also had nuts included. With the grill guard, I don't need those, do I?
