RTV900 cracked transmission?????????????

If the dealer considers this OK, request something be put in writing that if it should crack/fail beyond the 1 year warrantee that he'll take care of it.

yes get it in writing for later date of it gets worse. Its hard to tell from the photo but it sure looks like a crack.

Good luck getting a dealer to sign off in writing for something like that. I would think your best bet would be to have the dealer contact Kubota directly and get something in writing from them instead. Otherwise, if Kubota doesn't cover you then I would force the issue with your dealer to replace. You better believe that once your outside of that warrantee and IF this crack gets any worse then your S.O.L. for sure. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I seriously doubt this crack will cause a problem...it is far more likely an artifact of aluminum casting. It appears to be on the top side of the T/M, so it is highly unlikely to form a leak any ways given the location and T/M case fluid level. There is no recall and I have never heard or seen something like this cause a problem.

That is what it is. I have seen that type of cosmetic defect in many, many castings.
