I can't see were they would be much good. the reason why (real) chains scrach the driveway is because they dig and bite.

After reviewing and reading in detail the video and advertisement, I seriously doubt that there would be any improvement. Utilizing the use of flat strips of rubber instead of conventional chains might even escalate the danger of working in snow and ice. What if you were on a steep upgrade or downgrade and started to slide and lose control? It is your decision, but I wouldn't buy them, use them, or recommend the use of them. Of course I have never used them, but engineering is engineering and physics is physics. Some things work and some things don't.:):tractor:

They do provide a bit of a lug. Might be OK on lawn tractors in a residential setting...drive being 50'-60' long.

Made for dirt or asphalt. No claims made for snow. Not likely to do it for snow very well ... and nothing for ice.

Might make a slight improvement on a turf tire, but for an R1 or R4, I think they would make traction worse.
