Ruggerini oil filter:Discontinued?

I was browsing on E-Bay and found this.

Filtro Olio Esterno Ruggerini RD 900 Codice 2414 Originale | eBay

Not necessarily what you're looking for, but if you are intent on making a "remote" filter, you may look at different options to attach it to your tractor, as it is quite possible that both the filter, and the mount are easily removable. In which case, building the attachment for your remote might be much easier than you thought.

This looks like your filter...
Perhaps you could buy all 3 of them that the seller lists. Sometimes you can get good international shipping rates. Sometimes it is quick to ship from overseas, sometimes it isn't.

Clifford-how did you find that stuff?? Use a foreign language?? Ebay's search engine needs a rebuild!

Ahhh.... yes...
What isn't on my profile is that I also own a 1965 Fiat 500.

In E-Bay, to the right of the Search is an Advanced button.

It gives you a whole bunch more options.

About two thirds the way down, there is an option, "Location".
You have to hit the button "Only show items from"
I usually select "Located In".

There used to be an option "Any Country", but that is now gone. I went ahead and selected "Located In Italy".

In this case, one gets the same results selecting "Available To USA", although there may be some items that are only available to Italy, or Europe, in which case one should contact the seller before bidding.

Now, it is helpful to know a little bit of the target language. So I basically searched for "Ruggerini Filtro Olio".
If you are unfamiliar with the language, Google Translate can be quite helpful.

For Fiat parts, I've also had very good luck with Germany, as well as Great Britain (as long as you don't mind everything being backwards).

Thanks Barry! That thread size & pitch are just what I've been looking for!
Now I gotta get to machining it up, later tonite, 100+ out in the shop today, here in Western Massachusetts.
Thanks Again!

As mentioned, check to see if the mounting bracket removes.

It will likely be much easier to attach a different remote if you can just remove the whole bracket.

Hey Cliff,
I looked into removing the oil-filter assembly at the block, but have some concerns about removing the banjo fittings & having them leak after re-assembly. I've had that issue on the many Banjo-fittings they use all over the machine, filed them flat, re-heat & quench them, 50/50 shot they don't leak! Also I'd have to make a new gasket from scratch, not a real-difficult task, as long as I don't destroy the original one when disassembling the housing from the block, so I have something to trace/copy.
Started setting the machine up & hunt for tooling, last night. Can never find what I need, when I need it, darn shop-gremlins!

Have you finished the adapter yet?

Hi Guys, I stock the Ruggerini filters at $22 each. A bit spendy for sure, but certainly less than Kohler. It would make sense to order when needing some other parts, because it would eat up the difference in mailing costs. I was wanting to make an adapter for the Honda civic filter, but ran into some size issues with loader machines. They certainly didn't leave much room to play with. It's easy to make a remote for it, but then hoses are another risk. We hope to offer something in the future, but in the mean time I have lots of the original spec filters if ever needed. All the best, Tom at Italiantractors.

Forgot to mention that I have a lot of banjo washers coming. You can often find them at VW dealers too, they use them quite a bit for the fuel injection systems.
