I would not put ethanol into anything I own and I live in the corn belt. There is nothing positive about using it and numerous negative consequences.

+1 for Opti-Lube. I did a lot of research last year, and Opti-Lube came out on top. It's not cheap. There's no real well to tell whether it works, since any testimonial at this point would be just anecdotal. I just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

+2 for Opti-Lube XPD year around. I was using Power Service in the white bottle in the cold months and Power Service in the gray bottle during the warm months. Personally, I can't tell a difference but maybe my tractor can. Stabil in all gas engines year around. I never fill a diesel/gas can at the pump without the right amount of additive before I leave the house.

power service in my kubota diesels all year round this year. used in the past only winters and no troubles. using it this year, year round due to ultra low sulfer diesel fuel lubricity. power service helps with lubricating that the low sulfer took away. stabil in all gas engines year round and no problems there either. will probably be switching to kubota's diesel fuel treatment when my power service bottle is empty and i have heard great things about star-tron and am looking at maybe switching to that for gas engines. i am a believer in using treatment year round due to all the changing of the fuels of recent years. by the way, nice looking kubota you have there!

Think about what it , why would one pour additives into your engine when you don't need them. Our fuels are cleaner now than ever before. Keep your tractor serviced , change oil and filters with good quality products . Use your machine for what it was built for, don't try to move mountains with it . It will give you years of service in return. I have done this with kubota tractors over twenty five years now . Save that money and purchase more implements . Good Luck ! PD Clinton

Mystro, that's a fine looking tractor.

Yes it is.

I have been using marine Stabil in the gas for all the little things lately, I have had some trouble with destroyed fuel tubing before, and will see how this new regimen works out. Yes also running power service in the diesel. Does it help?, I don't know, but I figure it doesn't hurt.

Diesel fuel has become dry due to the government removing sulfur and other constituents. As a result, injector pumps are not being properly lubricated from the fuel and causing excessive wear and failure. Ask any diesel mechanic and they are well aware of the dry fuel problems and associated costs.

Last summer I needed home fuel so since I was getting 500 gallons I got a 55 gallon drum for the winter. All I had here was power service in the white bottle so I put enough in for -20f. We didn't get much snow so I've been using it in the spring and this summer. Since I rarely use the full power of the engine I don't burn a lot per hour. But the drum is empty and I've got a full tank in the tractor. If I wait 2 months anything I get will have anti gel in it. If I don't think I can make it and fill it up before I'll use the PS again.

Is it the best? I doubt it. But the off road diesel in my state is, by law, not home heating oil and has a lubricant already added to it. So even if it didn't the PS would be enough to meet the requirements. I've been told that running anti-gel in the summer will cost you a little bit of power but I never tried to verify it.
