Runnings tractors

I stopped at our local "Runnings" store the other day. looking for a water can that might please the wife.

They had a half dozen useful looking tractors out on display. FEL fitted , made in India. They looked sturdy.
Mitsubishi 3cylinder engines.

Anyone have one?

Been a long time since I've seen a Runnings store. I checked out their website and there is one in my small 'hometown' now.

Tractors on website are Summit and some small Cub Cadet lawn tractors. Did you see others?

Saw a few outside of the local Runnings, the tractors looked nice, but the price isn't that much less than a similar tractor from an established brand to make me take a second look at them. Sorry Summit...

Those tractors sound solid with the Mitsubishi 3-cylinder engines—reliable choice! I haven't personally owned one, but the price seems fair for a compact, FEL-equipped unit. If they're made in India, there's a good chance they're from a reputable manufacturer. Might be worth asking about local parts availability and dealer support before buying.

I happened to stop a a Runnings by me recently and those tractors caught my eye too. I’m not really in the market for a new one but the price was pretty good. I’ve seen some other threads comparing it to a JD 1 series / Kubota BX but the specs I’m looking at put it in the same class as my Kubota B2650. Mine generally has better numbers but it’s pretty close in some categories. Maybe they are competing with the smaller B series (2601 or whatever is current). What caught my attention was some of the standard features it comes with - diverter on the FEL, 1 set of rear remotes, and the rear tires are loaded with rim guard. Those are all extras on the Kubota when I bought mine. The loader bucket is pretty small (48” while mine is 60”) and the hydraulics output is almost half of mine so those are some negatives. 3 point capacity is also 800 lbs lower but the loader lift capacity is less than 40 lbs apart so close enough.
All in all, I would have given it a serious look when I was shopping last time as it fits the criteria I had.

I ended up with a B2601, very low hours, second hand.

At 1/2 the price of the new,and knowing where to get parts and service. It just made sense to me. (I am not a fan of New is better)

Now i'm looking at adding a diverter valve and a rear remote...;-)

But the size is Perfect for a small property. I wish the Kubota had a high speed pto...

I’ve seen those tractors at Runnings too! The Mitsubishi 3-cylinder engine seems solid, and they look pretty sturdy. For around $20K, it’s definitely a good option, but I’d recommend checking reviews on performance and reliability before pulling the trigger.
