My scrap bin Runway Packer Project heads for the paint booth this morning. :thumbsup:

Nice job, much better than mine! How much does it weigh dry? I filled mine with waste antifreeze from my local John Deere/Kubota dealer. It sure beats draining it every year. What is the width of your roller? Nice welds. Mine weighs about 1.5 tons filled and works pretty good. I have a homemade aerator as well that works with a 3 point lift. It does not plug, but I am not changing it at this stage.

Could have plate rolled it, but found a 3/8" thick 36" dia. sewer pipe. Total empty weight 1200. Thanks for the used waste antifreeze idea.

Really nice. Not all scrap bin though. I see a brand spanking new trailer jack on it.

I would weld my name in a cursive protruding bead, Mirror imaged (backwards) so that it stamps your name on all your work when rolling dirt.

That looks great. So that will hold about 400-500 gallons? Somewhere between 4000 and 5000 lbs when filled including the dry weight?

Mine is 72" X 24" and 1/8 steel. I built it light enough to pull with the gator. My L 2900 had R1's and it sort of defeated the purpose of pulling a roller. I ordered my 5100 with R4's and it is much less damaging to the turf on the runway. I am in the middle of my annual now and need to get away from this and get cracking, it's good flying season although way too soggy and overcast today to fly. Oh well, tediousness is the price of flight.
