If Bobcat could not pull off the tractor thing how do you think a box store is going to fair ? 37 horse 800 hr Kubotas at auction this weekend. Both have loaders, one with backhoe. I am going to look at a quick hitch snowpusher with all the paint still on it. No snow this year. People buy this stuff for 9 acres then die. Why buy a rural king if the right tractor can be bought for the same or less money.

I would guess that people are conditioned to buy new from stores. Most are not savvy enough to navagate an auction and buying used is a fear for many older people. I would buy used, or quality new if the price was right but that's just me. Rural King could make a go of this since they are a rising star in the rural/farm biz and seem dedicated to growing the company. Plus, I'll bet there is lots of suspicion that there is a trend to wanting to live rural as opposed to urban and business will grow.

In my book, anything that supports tractor ownership is good.

When I saw Rural King was offering a 19 hp tractor, I wondered how this could be. TYM does not sell a 19 hp tractor for the US market. I checked TYM website and confirmed no 19 hp tractor. Saw this add you posted and checked the website again and poof now TYM is selling a 19 hp SCUT.
It's new this year...

Bobcat had dealers who flat out refused to sell tractors. Look at prices for used Bobcat tractors. They are not giving them away. But it's hard to sell a different color tractor with less options for more money than the supplier (Kioti) was or the red version McCormack was at the same time. Then there was the feud between kubota and Bobcat. I do think it is not easy to do, but Rural King if they are dedicated could pull it off. Somehow Mahindra has pulled it off with the TYM built machines. The Rural King tractors appear to be as loaded as the TYM brand. The prices they are offering look decent.

I've looked at them a couple times now and actually talked to the tractor manager last night. I think he said in the 2 - 3 weeks they've had them, they've sold 7 or 8 tractors (this is the Circleville only store). He said they are committed to all repairs in house except for splitting the tractor. They will ship it back to Waverly. Cool they are doing most repairs, bad they would have to ship it out as that could be a source of delay. He said they have a tire machine now to change the tires and everything. He popped the hood and we were looking at the 37 HP Shuttle Shift last night. This seems to be a pretty well made tractor. A lot of things I like better than my NH - which I like much, much better than the current New Hollands.

Bobcat could have made it work. They jumped in at the wrong time and bailed just as things were getting better. They had good product, good pricing and sales and service infrastructure already in place.

So this thread sounds positive towards tym? Anyone own a newer tym that can speak of their experience? I looked at the 394 and was impressed. Also looking at kioti ck4010
