FYI - Jehovah's don't believe in donating or receiving blood by way of transfusion (even for life saving procedures). Not sure if you knew that or not.

YES....I know very well that they do not want to have anything to do with blood....they think it is okay to trespass on my property to spout off religion so how would they feel if I spouted off about blood donations....? Sorry that you missed the sarcasm I made...:D

JW's are just people and deserve as much respect shown to them as you want shown to you.

And no, I'm not a JW!

A phone call before showing up is nice. Showing up with out prior notice means you not invited (thus the phone call, email, text, letter) and is beyond rude. If you do not have the info to get a invite then you have a clue right there on wether you should show up. Showing up past a posted, or no trespassing sign, shut gate (same as a shut door) or other such markers is illegal and can be bad for ones safety for a variety of reasons such as dogs, live stock, machinery in operation, etc etc. Pretty disrespectful of the intruder and little needed in kind.

It's gonna be a great day. I've learned two new words today and it isn't even 6am...chooks and goannas.

I knew what a goanna was, but I had to look up that "chook" thing.. Ok, got it now!.

We had a bachelor neighbour who would run around the house nude. Yes it helped kept the JW's away and also made for a few interesting moments. Like when the neighbour boys showed up at the door because of a broken down vehicle and he just says "What's the matter? Ain't you seen balls before?".

I forgot they existed. I remember being a kid back in the 70's and they where pretty common. The Mormons did the same thing, except they where on bicycles and the Jehovah's would walk from house to house. Now that I'm out in the country, here in TX, I don't know of any. Around here, it's the Baptists you have to watch out for!!!! :)

Do they? Interesting question. You're suggesting it's a two way street. But the thing with all religious devotees/fanatics (not just JW's) is "It's a one way street" ("My beliefs are the truth, yours are false!!"). This is why I ask JW's the following question when they show up:

I ask: "Yes or no, should a person respect other people's religion?"

Now they are trapped.
Because if they answer "Yes" , then they are a hypocrite given that they are on my porch pushing theirs. Why should I respect a hypocrite, so: "Get off my porch!";
and if they answer "No", then they agree they don't deserve any respect from me, so: "Get off my porch!".
:laughing:

If they are already trespassing, they are past showing any respect. I have a no trespassing sign at the road and still get them coming to my door. I run them off politely.

Just saying here: I am a 10 gallon blood donor and think more people should do the same thing. Suppose I drove the 8 miles to the closest JW hall and began passing out brochures urging the members there to go to the local Red Cross and donate. Lord knows we could sure use some more donors....

:thumbsup:ROFLMAO!:thumbsup:

I run them off politely. "Get off my land". I usually make the statement as soon as they get out of the vehicle, "you must be lost". 1st chance, "please leave". 2nd chance; "get off my land". 3rd chance; I call the cops and let them deal with it.
