Rural Road Names.

We have a Hooker Hollow road. Not sure how it got it's name and I really don't want to know.. lol


My inlaws live on "Fried Meat Ridge Road"

High Taxes Road was named by the developer to protest the huge increase in taxes that came with developing the land. It stayed that way for a number of years until someone with no imagination whatsoever re-named it 'Jane's Lane'.

I know Grub Road ,Ragged *** Road , Swamp Road and the Boarsback Road

There is A Grub Road in my neighborhood just over the hill from me.

In Southern Oregon, if you go from Ashland to Lake of the Woods, you will travel on Dead Indian Memorial Highway.

I keep thinking this must be the most politically incorrect road name in the US.

We have one in the running for offensive names. We have a mountain here in Western Md. name "Negro Mountain". It's name was changed about 20 yrs ago from the even more offensive "N" word..
