All Virginia roads near(ish) to Washington DC.

Temporary road ( been there 35 years now)
Triple Seven Road , its county road 777, apparently someone was not feeling creative when the county went and named all the numbered roads
Dam road ( later renamed to Aldie Dam road). A resident of the road showed up to a local county gov't meeting and did a nice 5 minute monolog about his road name. Where do you live, on the Dam road. Hey how do we get the county to come fix the dam road? It was the funniest thing I'd ever seen at a government meeting _ever_.
Ariane Way (next to dulles airport in Virginia)
its fine written, but people mispronounce the French a bit and it gets 'said' and mis-heard with a much less pleasant connotation.
Delightful place
Sounds nice enough, but one of the things we did at large incidents with the fire department was to establish an organized incident command structure. As we some times had multiple incidents sharing a radio channel, the commands were named for the street the incident started on. There were lots of chuckles over "Delightful command" all night.
Ole Dirt Road, strange given the multi million dollar houses on said road.
Backlick Road
We have a few subdivisions in the area that have 'themed' roads....
Holly development - Cedar Holly Road, Green Holly Road, Winter Holly Road
Then there is Dale City, where it seems ever road ends with 'dale'
Then there is the 'legal' subdivision, you can get justice, verdict, layers etc... culmating with the best one 'GALLOWS'

Frying Pan Park (formerly a destination for presidential pardoned turkeys)
Pohick Rd ( say po hick road)
Harry Byrd Hwy ( no one has good enunciation so its often mistaken for Hairy Bird)
