Just bought one for general use around the place as we are sick of all the fuel containers and different mixtures, quite impressed with what it can do.
We use it for general clean up, pruning and cutting smaller logs for firewood, so impressed we are now getting a mower for our small lawn area where the ride on won't go and a brush cutter, I had the pressure washer for the boat where there is no power and all these units use a 4 or 5 AH battery which are physically the same size.
Only one battery at present but will get a second 5ah so there is no down time, the pressure washer uses most and runs for just over 30 minutes continuous on the highest setting.
I like the clean aspect and no fuel laying around getting stale.
Stihl also have a few but cost a lot more and Ryobi have a six year warranty.
We bought the pressure washer as a kit and the rest are skins only although there is a good deal on a mower at the moment as a kit which gives us a battery and charger for an extra au$60.
No good for big jobs but we don't do them anymore and we still have the sachs dolmar 112 around if needed.

Most 2 stroke fuel oils sold here have a stabilizer added to them. As far as I can tell, it works. All of our 2 stroke machines we use use 50 to 1 fuel/oil mixture. I'm a simple minded guy who needs simplicity to operate safely.. :D.

My brother swears by his Ryobi mower. It must be nice to mow the lawn and not even worry about hearing protection.

It is also convenient just to pull a switch and away you go, batteries on charger at end of day and no block exhaust/inlet from mud daubers.
SWMBO has trouble starting anything with a cord and I just don't like it anymore.

The Ryobi outdoor tools I have are 40V. I have the chain saw and two weed eaters. The LI batteries have been a real problem since they came out with having a short life. I complained by email to Ryobi after several runarounds on the phone. Got a nice response 2 days later; they are sending me a new 2.5 A/H and 5 A/H batteries and 2 new chargers. They claim to have the problem fixed and recommend you do not use the original chargers with the new batteries. That is almost $500 in merchandise and they do not want the old ones. The problem batteries are Model OP4026. The new ones re now available at HD stores. I had just bought a new one again at $100 ea and it is the new model #.

It pays to complain, just don't rant at them as we tend to do on phone calls specially when you are deaf like I am. I have been a fan of Ryobi battery tools for over 30 years and have most of their 18V tools. Wore out several but that was not the products fault, not made for heavy demo work and I know that.
