There is a S650G for sale near by (Maine). It is a 1983 with 800 Hours and it has a loader, tiller, and a sweeper with it. It is going for $6500. Is this a reasonable price if it is in decent shape? Is this a 2WD?

Can anyone tell me what to look for as far as problems with this particular model? Is it a good tractor? Any information at all is welcome.

Thanks very much,

Steve

My ole Satoh S650G w/loader

I think you can do better on pricing... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif For that money, you can pick up an older JD (Yanmar) MFWD unit with loader... attachments are inexpensive... don't factor them in your equation...

My pictured Satoh S650G w/ National loader sold for $4900... I was more than happy... and the buyer was tickled pink... so it worked out... but I'd shoot for ~ $5k w/ all implements and maybe come up to $5.5k and that's paying "top dollar"...!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Personally, I think implements are expensive...starting at $500.00 for something new. You may want to figure them into the price of the tractor. My 650 G with 350 hours on it cost me $5000.00. It came with a National loader and a finish mower that would have cost me $1000.00 more if I had to buy it new. I wouldn't pay more than that if I were you. I like my tractor and haven't had any major problems with it except a broken steering wheel. Had a friend machine an adaptor to put a universal automotive steering wheel on it. If you buy it let me know and I'll get you a list of tune-up parts available at NAPA. I would buy it if you can get the price down. Good luck.

It still seems to be for sale. It comes with a tiller, a loader, and a cultivator (it looks
like it is just for getting rocks out of a garden, kind of like a rock rake but with the tines
spaced a lot further apart. The tractor seems to run pretty well and the hydraulics seem
smooth and pretty quiet. You can probably tell I don't know much about tractors.

Can anyone tell me how much just these implements would be worth? How much would a
bush-hog attachment cost roughly? Post hole digger?

Thanks very much,

Steve
