Thanks for the offer but You are way to far from me. If you had a $5000 machine you were giving away for free I probably wouldn't drive that far for it. I drive a lot for work and hate driving.

Actually, I am ready to let it go for pretty much the parts bill. I took it on a trade a couple of years ago. Motor was locked down. Got it torn down, had sleeve put in block, bought parts, and it has set in my way ever since.

I am a hobby welder that stumbled onto a barn find 1966 Redface SA200 last summer. Mechanically it was great, basically just cleaned the fuel system and it ran and welded fine. Then the long cosmetic restoration started. The SA200 machines are true classics, they can make hobby welders like me look good. The main thing is they sound so sweet!! I think that objectively there is no finer welding arc from an engine drive than a SA 200. I had mine tuned down to make fuel last a little longer and arc was smooth. I love welding with them, I sold mine. I don't regret it, but I miss that sound of crisp 5p+ sizzling to the back beat of the continental red seal rumble. One word of caution, SA machines like attention, don't neglect them, they have personalities.
