Ralph "Bucky" Phillips has been caught

I am so glad they finally caught this guy. I was watching the helicopters flying over our jobsite all day today. About every 10-15 minutes one would come thru and 10 minutes later it would come back. We would have to go thru three road blocks on the way to the job and again on the way home. Sometimes the wait was 45 minutes depending on traffic. The State Troopers have been good through all of this though and I have no complaints at all. I will say this I am going to miss seeing all these Troopers cars here as there seems to be very little problems on the roads when every few cars is a Troopers patrol car

At least no other people were hurt and Phillips is in custody. Many thanks go out to all the officers in both NY and PA as well as all the federal officers from my family and myself. And another thank you to all the men and women who protect our country as well as the local officers who protect our states, counties and towns.

I see he went the way of almost all the "I'll go down fighting" blowhards. When push comes to shove they usually meekly give up.

On another board, a local resident up there pointed out that he was totally stupid as well as his other problems. There was a Rainbow Family gathering in the area. He could have just fit right in there and departed with them. Instead he went on a totally pointless crime spree that accomplished nothing.

Apparently he was smart enough to be able to kill an LEO.

Curious, how did he kill the LEO? Guy at work mentioned it was with a high power rifle at night. Don't know if thats true or not. Recently had some news down here, and the AP "somehow" got all the facts wrong (makes you wonder what you read).

Too bad they didn't have a rope with them when they caught him. He's only spent 20 of the past 23 years in jail I read.

Phillips shot the two officers in the evening just before dark. From what I have been told he was hiding in the woods and got behind the officers as they were on a stake out in front of Phillips ex-girlfriends. He shot both officers from behind their car somewhere. They did say the one officer returned fired but they don't know when as they have not been able to talk to him as he is still in a coma. The one round did make it thru the officers bullet-proof vest though and he is the one in the coma. The other officer was shot in the leg and the bullet hit a main artery. His funeral is Monday.

Phillips has always been a criminal, even as a kid he had no respect for anyone. At one point he had over 200 bicycles in his parents garage that he had stolen for no other reason then the fact that he could. There is no way to rehabilitate a guy like him and he should be removed from society, not supported by the law abiding people for the rest of his life.

One other story about Phillips, quite a few years back my neighbor would store motor homes for people in his warehouse. He never locked it as this is a small farm town and there has never been any problems. Well, Bucky found the place and decided to move in. He used every toilet he could find there until he was discovered. I am glad he is gone now.
