Safety glasses

When I was using a zero turn I would wear my full face helmet if it was dry.

I had a Craftsman and it blew dirt out the front like crazy. I made a front skirt that helped but it was still bad. I always came in filthy from mowing.

Second the foam safety glasses. I have a couple sets of Wiley X prescription safety glasses for work. Both sets came with foam inserts. Those foam inserts and a dust mask are must haves for me when I'm mowing with my Zero Turn mower with the high lift blades. I usually end up covered in a thick layer of dirt and dust after mowing. But with the dust mask and inserts for my safety glasses I'm not coughing and hacking afterwords and don't feel like I have 3 pounds of dirt in my eyes::D:D

I have worn glasses fo 60 years and as such all were ground safety glass lenses.
Well I annually needed to replace due to welding and grinding as the burn spots rendered them useless.
Recently I was forced into plastic lenses as they discontinued glass ones.
Great surprise to me is that for unknown reasons welding and grinding simply will not 'pit' (spot) my specs.
I'm sold!

Plastic by its nature is probably as good or possibly better than glass 'safety lenses'.
Glass will shatter into small pieces much sooner than a plastic lens that'll absorb a lot of punishment.

I'm a firm believer of the Wiley X ballistic lenses in there glasses. About 8 months ago I got called in for a service call. Had my safety glasses looped into my belt when I was unlocking the gate at the shop and pulling my service truck out of the yard. I didn't realize it, but my glasses went under the truck when I was climbing in.

One of the rear duals ran over the glasses in a rock parking lot. You can imagine what a 15,000lb truck will do to them. Once I realized they were missing, I went back and looked with a flash light. Found the frames twisted some and missing the lenses. But the lenses were on the ground by the frames, in one piece, no scratches, or chips :D

Did you get them?

I also ordered a set on the 7th and they are lost in shipping if they actually shipped.

Yes,Received them and used them the next day. They work much better than regular safety glasses although when I took them off I forgot to shake the debris from them and my hair and got dirt in my eyes.
