Hey sorry not forklift related but I'm tearing my CNC apart and overhauling it. I found that the X-axis servo (Fanuc) has an alpha encoder. Curious how the last guy made that work, I pulled it apart and found this cute little guy hiding under the red cap. Thought you might find this useful.

dude- thanks- dummy me had been thinking about getting someone to make a bolt on encoder for the red or black fanucs- it never dawned on me to just gut a old pulsecoder and stick one in it! thanks for the part number pic- one in 2500 PPR for our common machines is only 152.00 from quantum- would allow us to use any analog/hall drive out there...love the old fanuc 6050's, but- they are 30 years old... this might be very viable option for us to do some drive updates!
