Funny you should mention the Texas Blaster, I was looking pretty carefully at those yesterday. Thanks for the links!

It's s pretty simple design, I like the tungsten carbide nozzle and the large hose setup they have. Couple hundred bucks more, but it looks good. I was thinking of getting the 20' hose to allow more room to move around and blast my two 300 gallon tanks which sit on stands.

Very simple pipe fitting arrangement on the suction tee of those, but if it works, it works. And it looks like they use good valves. Some of the ones I see seem kinda marginal.

You're welcome. I also like the simplicity and the fact that it is built in the USA with quality components. If I need something fixed quickly I can go to my local hardware store and get many of the parts.

The 1/8th inch nozzle that it comes standard with it should be fine for you. I agree with your idea to get the 20' hose right off the bat. I am still getting by with the 10' hose but it is often too short & I wind up moving the pot around. I'll probably get an extension hose before my next big blasting project.

My biggest learning curve was trying to use too little air and too much media which would cause surging and clogging. Setting it for lots of air with a little media works great for me. Oh, and get a media screen sifter from TP Tools and sift all of the media while you are filling the pot (whether it is new media or used). I find lots of things that would clog the nozzle and avoid problems by doing that.
