Nope. Believe what you want to believe, it's a free country, but wrong is still wrong. You are entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts.

How can my opinion be wrong??

You sound like an insurance salesman. ;)

May not, by definition be gambling, but buying or not buying insurance is a gamble.

My father in law only bought liability on his farms, cars, trucks, business and never had health insurance and in spite of having one car totaled, as well as two delivery trucks others damaged and several hospitalizations, over his lifetime, he paid out less than if he had bought insurance.

Being lucky doesn't prove wisdom. Not having health insurance today is a choice between financial disaster and being lucky enough not to need it. And luck is not being responnsible to your family imo.

The need for quality insurance products is expanding as we live in ever closer proximity to each other. But quality insurance products in many cases is defined not just by policy wording but thevquality and character of the insurance adjuster. A great company with a bad adjuster at minimum gives you a fight you'll never anticipate is so tough. At maximum . . its a batyle you can't afford to lose but you don't know thevrules of the game and they do.

As usual you read way more into what I posted and totally missed the point. I made no recommendations, it was simply intended to try to explain the definitions and use of the terms of "gambling" and "gamble" used by Richard and others, some people get tripped up over minutiae and try to prove a point by pulling out their "Funk and Wagnalls" and judge a member's post by the strict definition of a word rather than common use at the time. Now maybe you wish to be the one to set up the rules of how we posts and judge our intent, but most don't go by such strict guidelines or require someone to tell us what we meant.

Yes he does. I went back and read his comment several times. I still don't know whether he is pro insurance or con insurance. He attempted no persuasion in his discussion. Only offered an experience. He's kinda like our smarter older Brother Murph. :)

Never met one that wasn't a scumbag.

As I've stated, I had a catastrophic insurance claim. Worked with 3 separate adjusters, each covering a different portion. All were very professional and took excellent care of me. Even guided me in regards to what losses to claim.

My agent on the other hand was worthless.

I'm not real sure why you got on your high horse about my post. I was pointing out that insurance isdues of the past generations are much larger for the current generations. Lawyers today and gealthcare costs are expobential compared to cost of living standards.

And with ever more people and ever more closeness of contact . . heath concetns have grown alot. Take Zika as an example . . Iits already become bigger in the U.S. than the experts predicted 12 weeks ago. And it us likely to be exponential again by the time Autumn comes.

Our parents never had to worry about Zika . . bu we will.

Why you are upset with what I posted . . I have no clue.
