Hello
So my new to me 550 has arrived. The shifter seems to have a broken or missing pin and the boot is missing, cleverly replaced by an old funnel and a large amount of electrical tape. At any rate the shift lever spins freely in the housing making it difficult but possible to shift gears. My question is how do I go about rectifying this situation? one other question I have is in regards to the throttle. The tractor runs nicely at Idle when when I move increase the throttle the lever goes back to idle unless I hold it in place. I assume it is being pulled back to idle by the governor, how is the lever typically held at the desired setting? Am I missing some sort of lock washer?
