I'm aware of that. But the price of tea in China has nothing to do with the purchasing practices of the farmers in New Hampshire. Why compare them to Nebraska? You're trying to compare apples to saw dust and make a claim that doesn't have a basis for reason. I live in Texas. I could care less what is sold or purchased in Nebraska.

LOL. Someone is upset about this. Comparing Mahindra Sales in the high plains versus New Hampshire is certainly a valid discussion. Why does that upset you?

Comparing how a brand of tractor is marketed in different parts of the country is absolutely valid in this conversation, especially in areas where farming is so popular. I have no idea why that bothers you but you need to get a grip.

If you cared less about what is sold in Nebraska you wouldn't be making such a stink about me mentioning that there wasn't even a dealer in Nebraska. Funny how that works.

And yes people in Nebraska know a bit more about farming than those in New Hampshire. I'm sure you can figure out why.

I think Mahindra would do themselves a favor going after the small horse farms and hobby farmers in my area but they seem to let that go to Kubota. I'm in South Carolina and we have one dealer in the whole state last time I checked and he wasn't a really big dealer. I know one person in my area that has a Mahindra and he seems to like it a lot, the problem is tractors in the 30-80hp range are in high demand around here. Kubota has dominated that market and Deere will come in a distant second but Deere dominates in 100hp and above.

Perhaps you're confused. The region you looked up was Nebraska, Colorado and where ever when the subject area was New Hampshire. YOU injected Nebraska. That's all I'm saying. If you're going to counter a statement, base it on facts.

How can you say Mahindra is NOT replacing JD anywhere for that matter? I don't know one way or the other and really don't care. Not all farmers need a 1,000hp tractor. Mahindra is the #1 seller in the US so somebody is buying them. I wouldn't because I don't like the design, among other things.

Any way, I'm done. :drink:

The subject area was some numbnuts didn't know what model or HP his tractor was when asked after saying it had too much power and he wanted a smaller one... whatever part of the country that conversation took place in is irrelevant.

And the Mahindra capped person, who had a "large full time farm", wanted a tractor with more HP than his JDs. But after buying a Mahindra it was too much power. Hmmm. So he wanted a tractor with well under 100HP as his largest tractor on a large full time farm.

While I agree that Mahindra isn't going to supplant JD in large ag business, this statement is just nuts. Because there are more farmers and acreage does not equate to more knowledge of the subject.

The reason there are no Nebraska dealers is due to state laws. State law requires all tractors over 40 HP to go through the Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory.... and the cost to do so is insane so they have opted to NOT sell in Nebraska.
Neither of my Massey tractors (both over 40 HP) are listed in the Nebraska Test pages... Yet they are for sale in Nebraska.

It's relevant. The guy can make comparisons. It's sort of like

A: "I was talking to a guy in NH... and he said Mahindra this and Deere that..."
B: "I can't speak for NH, but in NE, it's different, like this"

At least that's how I interpreted it -that he's contributing what he can to the topic in general but acknowledged that his frame of reference was different

My Mahindra owners' cap was made in China. There are numerous ball cap manufacturers in India. Why would they outsource these?
