That is the one my "uncle" in Germany has? They are truly fast and effective but scare me.

Probably scale - It's 6" long, as is a $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 bill. Whereas a lot of folding foregn money differs in size based on value.

I was splitting wood today by hand, man have I got to rethink this some.

Oh, and yes the Orange handle is the Safety, an object of argument between my BIL and "uncle" each time that my BIL uses that thing. He always reaches up and test's the safety and verifies that it disengages and it drive's uncle nuts. Course I would too, that thing scares me.

I had a similar one without the safety, be scared, very scared. It darn near broke both my arms when the arm that the wood rested against broke while I was splitting, the wood spun around and wacked me in both forearms.

You have to see this screw type splitter to appreciate it. These good ole boys have it attached to the rear axle of a pick up truck. They are wearing long loose sleeves on their jackets to top it off. I expect to see them again in the Darwin awards.

Did you link the correct vid ?, there's only one guy and about as tight of a sleeve as you can get.

My Uncle had years ago, I never cared for it. If you ever get a knotty big piece stuck on it that doesn't split it's a bear to get off!! We called it the corkscrew.
