Well, you might be a little nuts. But if so, you're in good company. Just look at all us fine fellows telling you to - GO FOR IT!!

:D

He's even nuttier for asking the question here on TBN. Like walking into a bar and asking the patrons whether it might be a good time to have a drink.

10-4 on that. Here's a family photo taken about 6 months BC (Before Cab) the day the L3200 arrived to replace the B7500 in the center. Another shot of the Kubota after the cab was completed.

The Ford has been around since the early 90's and is too much fun to get rid of. I park it at the church over the winter months to help with snow removal, and drive the Kubota there and back. We have about 3-1/2 acres and I don't feel overequipped with the Ford and Kubota.

We are very good at justifying large equipment purchases and spending other people's money:laughing:

You may want to do a search for "I hate tractors" forum to get an opinion that does not love tractors and think you should have one in an apartment.

Nah, just ask your wife. Wives tend to be pretty astute about the value of machinery versus your personal labor and even better than we would like to acknowledge in judging whether boys are just buying new toys for no good reason.

Note: I will deny ever saying that and hope my wife never figures out what my screen name is.

While we're on the fridge topic, Anyone ever tried getting an old fridge out of the basement when it wouldn't fit up the stairs? It had to go out the hatchway, and pushing wasn't cutting it. Chain behind the Kioti did though:thumbsup:<snip>

I hope to NEVER do that (use a Kioti to haul a fridge up from the basement).
<snip>
We could have moved that freezer across the lawn with a handtruck and putting down plywood

But did have to haul that freezer up with a Kubota.

Nuts - NO with the cost of what is referred to as a tractor ( actually riding mower - which isn't good for much else) at any of the box store and some dealers, might as well pony up and get something that will keep running past the warranty. As almost all the mowers seem to be using trannies that can't get much past 100 hours on a level surface, state in the owners manual that its not for ground contact equipment, and such it becomes a pretty easy justification. Course the wallet thing is a bit tough - until you start comparing to mid to upper grade mowers knowing that most won't last all that long ( all brands). If the tranny goes on a mower might just as well toss it as replacement is 1/2-2/3 cost of the unit - and having it rebuilt isn't any cheaper. I have a MF 1230 (1999 cut) My kids will get it unless I move up in hp.

I have .6 acres and now I have less grass to mow because my BX1860 helped me build my 30 x 42 garage, driveway and parking area and 16 x 55 paver patio on the back of the house. Wouldn't have been able to do it without the tractor! Wife thought I was nuts when I bought it. Then later said "Gee good thing we bought that tractor or we would have never got this done". Works great blowing the snow in the winter off of my and my retired neighbors drives! 4 drives in total!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!
