Sorry about the mispelling Neil, the question(s) still stands tho
I go by 3 different Kubota dealers weekly and all appear to have more BX models in stock than any other, is this just specific to my area or is this the norm?
Got any numbers to back that up?LoneCowboy said:But ti's basically the same price.
In very rare occasions as you show it is the perfect fit. But I think those cases are rare, thus for the same money MOST people go for the bigger tractor. Thus the point of my original post, what's the point? There are options for everything, but most people don't buy SCUT's, the market is limited.
That's all I'm saying.
A comparably equipped CUT would have cost me $4k+ more and it wouldn't give me near as nice a finish cut, the modest increase in FEL & 3PH lifting power isn't needed the majority of the time and in my case ground clearance isn't an issue. With an increase in price of nearly a 1/4 of the purchase price of the SCUT whats the point in buying a CUT that doesn't fit the primary need as well?
A SCUT is much more than a finish mower, although that is one of it's strenghts.
Most give a finish cut thats as good or better than premium lawn mowers that cost nearly the same but not as efficently as a ZTR. A ZTR is about the only machine that gives a better finish cut.
A SCUT when equipped w/an FEL can do anything a CUT w/an FEL can do but with slightly less capacity in some cases. A ZTR cannot.
A SCUT when equipped w/a BH can do anything a CUT w/a BH can do but with with smaller reach and bucket capacities. A ZTR cannot...
A SCUT can plow, disc, till, scrape, level, cultivate and seed a field just like a CUT but on a slightly smaller scale. A ZTR cannot....
In my case, after working the BX23 a week or so, I sold my JD L130 mower and much larger TE20 Ferguson small utility tractor as the little ole SCUT replaced them both.
Thats the point......
